Rev. Geo. Whipple
Dear Sir;
I presume that you have before this received a letter from the trustees of Darlington school requesting you to send them a teacher. They wished me to return but I would not undertake the sole charge of it this winter even if the Association should appoint me there. I had intended to have been in N. York ere this but circumstances over which I could exercise no control, have prevented me from so doing. But I expect to be there next week and will explain.
I hope you will furnish them with a suitable teacher! I was the recipitant of a draft for $40.00.
Respectfully
H F. Highgate
