Rev. M. E. Strieby:-
Dear friend:-
Yours directed to Little Falls. I have not received your ? sent to Syracuse. I [?] very much desire to go South as soon as the 1st of Feby. In fact, I have made every arrangement to do so. I am now you see soliciting in places on this road meaning to go to New York enroute for the South as soon as I shall receive the summons from you. I prefer to be sent to Baltimore Md. I do hope that there will be nothing to prevent my going there. Please write to me at this place. I have appointments out in the country but shall return here. I shall remit to Mr. Whiting shortly. Hoping to hear from you very soon. I do not wish to go to Norfolk Va-
