Dear Friend,
Yours of the 25th just came to hand. I really feel very sorry that I cannot go South as soon as I wish for a great many reasons. Now I will say in reply to soliciting about Utica I have not tried to do anything in this city but as I had friends in country places; which male agents do not visit, I have gone to such places.
