Mr. S. S. Jocelyn,
Dear Sir:
I wrote very hastily this morning in answer to yours of the 15th[.] I trust that you will not suppose that I do not wish to go south in four weeks if you could wait that long- My school closes here the 18th of March[.] I shall be at liberty immediately after- I spoke in my last about acting as agent for your society- But I know I could succeed much better in that capacity after I had been south i.e. even during my August vacation- I have a sister who is in every way competent to enter upon this work, except that she is not a professed Christian- She has and is still connected with the Sabbath school of our church – Plymouth ch of Syracuse. Please write with reference to this matter as soon as possible- I hope you may deem it advisable to send me to Norfolk in March[.]
Truly yours in Christ
Edmonia G. Highgate
P.S Please return my commendation signed by Supt- Crittenden-
