Rev. S. Hunt
Dear Friend
I am anxiously awaiting your orders to leave here. I was obliged to suspend school for a few days from the effects of excessive heat and I feel it a duty to health to close entirely, but according to regulations await your permission. As I have written to you and received no reply I fear the letters have been intercepted as I have experienced such difficulty from other points[.] Will you please? reply immediately by telegram that I may leave this week if possible[.] Please direct your telegram to Mr. Robert Peaco as I should be more likely to receive it.
Respectfully
M. E. Watson
P.S. Since writing the above I have heard of the illness of my Mother and my presence is much needed at home. M.E.W.
