To the American Missionary Association
Sirs this is to certify that Miss M. E. Watson has filled her Mission as teacher of Darlington School, Harford County Maryland. We the undersigned do hereby and hereon certify that the said teacher has done her labour well with fidelity in day and sabbath school also the impressions she has made will as long as life last remain in her scholars they love and respect her. Your Association is accomplishing a great work.
We are sorry to think that perhaps that M. E. Watson will not return to us again and regret to part with her. Our thanks to you for your kindness to us showing the missionary spirit in full.
Our sincere thanks to Miss M. E. Watson for her labours in the diffusion of knowledge with her evangelical sentiments a virtue that all teachers should have. signed by the acting committee
