Sir,
private I know that our teacher could not send in as good report as she desired. I thought it no more than right to inform you it is none of her fault, her difficulties have been such with our that we could not do any better on account of the school house not being finished but it is now finished excepting Desks, and we only had them of some kind we might have a good school our means is as such that we can not get them yet. I hope for better days our people are willing but not able to what they would our teacher is what they desire in the whole excepting one family and that one has had a prejudice against her ever since her first session on account of her not still boarding with them for reasons knowing to herself and the committee but the body of the people are determined to support the school against all opposer let them be small or let them be great but they are of small means and I think it will be some time before they can put Desks in the house
Respectfully yours
J. B. Armstrong
