Sir Yours of the 26th inst is received today, and with this I send you a correct copy of the Deed of School-house lot. We will complete the building as soon as we can. The house was contracted for $350.00, also the foundation or stone with building of flues, the delivering of material on the ground besides the material we have furnished has already cost us an additional $400.00 and more dollars. Miss M. E. Watson will not be with us until after the election as this is considered to be much of a district not in sympathy with the freedmen schools. Respectfully yours [[signature]] J B Armstrong [[/signature]] Chairman of Committee
