Mr Kimbal
Sir,
Several weeks ago I dispatched a letter to you, informing you that I was at liberty to accept an appointment as teacher to the Freedmen in Maryland, I also enclosed a testimonial from the Rev. Daniel Leach with whom you are acquainted. Having received no answer I write again to ascertain if you intend giving me a situation, if so I should like to have Clayton, formerly occupied by my sister Miss T Lyons. I have been ready to go sometime, and am prepeared to start as soon as I receive an appointment. Please inform me when and how I recive my salary and give me what other instructions you may deem necessary.
Respectfully
