- Deed to property for the school at Hendon Hill, near Bel Air. For the sum of $50, Benjamin Hendon transfers the rights to approximately 1/2 acre of land to school trustees George Daugherty, Edward Hall, William A. Ruff, William Morgan, and Lee Preston, "for the use, benefit and education of the colored people of Harford County, forever." Describes the property as touching on those of Benjamin Hendon, Joshua Hooker, and "Bealls Camp."

This deed made this Eighth day of February in the year Eighteen hundred and Sixty-nine, by Benjamin Hendon of Harford County, in the State of Maryland. Witnesseth that in consideration of the sum of Fifty dollars current money, the said Benjamin Hendon doth grant bargain and sell unto George Daugherty, Edward Hall, William A. Ruff, William Morgan, and Lee Preston, in trust, for the purpose of erecting or allowing to be erected thereon a School House, for the use, benefit and Education of the colored people of Harford County, forever, All that Lot or parcel of ground lying in Harford County, aforesaid, which is described as follows. Beginning at a point in the line of "Bealls Camp", twelve feet from a corner stone between Joshua Hooker and the said Benjamin Hendon, North Sixty degrees West, Sixteen perches and four tenths of a perch to a stone, North Seventeen and a half degrees East five perches to a stone, thence South Sixty degrees East, sixteen perches and four tenths of a perch to the aforesaid line of "Bealls Camp", then with said line South Sixteen and a half degrees [[underlined]] West, five perches [[/underlined]] to the place of Beginning, containing one half acre of land more or less.
