Rev. Jno. Kimball
Dear Sir
Yours of 23rd received and in reply would say that the material for desks not yet purchased or the desks placed in the school-house. The material for the desks would be but a small item it is the work that costs most. I sent you those bills as they were rendered and contracted for including material used as in the case of the plastering, which included lime sand some laths and hauling. I feel at a loss to know what to do further on the matter. Shall I see what the material for desks will cost and get it with the bills, which perhaps with the payment of shingle bill and what you would suppose would be fair on lime &c. would see them out. They are anxious to commence the school, let me hear from you as early as possible and oblige
Yours Truly
