Miss Phenia Crisfield,
Darlington, Md.
Miss:
As your school is so small I want to have you close it at once, and take the school at New Market, Frederick Co. Md. You must go to Baltimore, and from thence by Baltimore and Ohio R.R. to Morovia Station and inquire for Mr. Charles Locks, who will see that you are properly provided for.
Very Respectfully, Yours
W. L. Van Derlip
Bvt. Maj. & Supt. of Education
per J. Q. Crosby.
P.S.
I have written to one of the trustees, Mr. Locks, and requested him to see that your fare is paid back to you. - IIIF Manifests
