Supt Education
Washington D.C.
Sir
I hope you will pardon my seeming negligence in sending my report but it has been impossible for me to send it sooner. I have been suffering with a gathered hand for more than three weeks and in consequence have not been able to do any writing untill now: though I have attended to my other duties, the very best I could.
My school is in a prosperous condition at this time and the people are interested they are anxious now even at this late date to have their house completed and I have succeeding in receiving subscriptions to the amount of sixty dollars. We had a free will offering here and the meeting was addessed by Dr. Wilmos, and from it we realized forty-three dollars. this sum added to that already subscribed we think will nearly complete the house.
I am anxious to remain with them untill this is done; and though the society has withdrawn its support yet if the Supt will allow me to remain and keep the school open (in order to keep the interest of the people alive) I will gladly make some sacrifice though but a poor girl, if the bureau will allow me a small sum to pay my incidental expenses. I will be satisfied to stay untill they have finished their house here and report faithfully every month. Hoping my request will find favor; for the sake of the people, I ask an early reply.
Please write me at Pisgah and oblidge Yours Very Respectfully
M. Anderson
